Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show is set to return to CBS on 5 August for the 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, where she was moderator and host. However, her true passion came when she added writer to her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for it. Her excellent talk show earned her an Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events by looking through the eyes of five female hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news program The Early Show for a decade. The previous assignments included anchoring CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Chen Moonves was sent to Cairo in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. In Cairo, she scoured her down and spoke with the father who commanded hijackers for an eye-opening and interesting interview. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news program, profiling celebrities like Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She profiled celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes, Scarlett Jhansson Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert DeNiro Jennifer Lopez, and Matthew McConaughey. Before joining CBS News Chen Moonves worked as a reporter for WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). Also, she was employed by ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first job in broadcasting as a Desk Assistant for ABC News' late-night show Nightline with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is still one of her favorite journalists. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker for Anatomy of a Riot (the Premiertime Special of Columbia du-Pont that looked at the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
