Mikaela was born in 1984. Her parents are Italian and Iranian heritage. Her birthplace was in Colbert and raised there. As early as age two, she began to take dance classes. Later on she took part in various school plays. When she was a kid she started appearing in advertisements for local businesses. Then, in LA, USA she completed her degree in theatre at Loyola Marymount University. Mikaela first appeared in the 2007 movie 'Frank. Later on, she was a major actress in the movie 'Sorority Forever. After being a part of the auditions for the celebrated film director James Gunn, she played the lead part in Humanzee. She then acted as an actress of the leading role on The James Gunn and Peter Safran X-Box Show Sparky & Mikaela. Hoover was the first actress to appear in American productions. In which she played the guest role of the show 'How I met Your Mother.' In addition, she starred in James Gunn directed film 'Super.'
